Tracker I-9™ Compliance Software Helps Federal Contractors Deal with the New E-Verify Rule
PRESS RELEASE – San Francisco, CA, USA, November 20, 2008 – ImmigrationTracker has announced that Tracker I-9 (www.TrackerI9.com), its enterprise software system for ensuring Form I-9 compliance, offers a comprehensive electronic solution for federal contractors who must use E-Verify under the new regulations implemented by the Department of Homeland Security. E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) which checks an employee's Form I-9 information against SSA and DHS records. Since its implementation, E-Verify participation has been largely voluntary, although a few states such as Arizona, Mississippi, and Colorado have mandated its use for employers doing business in their respective state.
The new rule published last week requires federal contractors to begin using E-Verify starting January 15, 2009, to verify their employees' eligibility to work in the United States. Companies awarded a contract with the Federal Government will need to enroll in E-Verify within 30 days of the contract award date. Within 90 days after enrollment, employers must begin to implement the program for all new hires, verifying their work eligibility within three business days of the date of hire. Existing employees that are assigned to work under a federal contract will also have to be verified within 90 days after the date of the contractor's enrollment in E-Verify or within 30 calendar days of the employee's assignment to the contract, whichever date is later. The clause mandating the use of E-Verify must also be used in subcontracts over $3,000 for services or construction.
The Tracker I-9 system alleviates this extra burden for federal contractors by interfacing directly with E-Verify, so new hires can be instantly submitted to the E-Verify system from Tracker I-9 securely and in real time. This seamless integration minimizes the potential for error and eliminates the paperwork and burden of using multiple systems. Unlike other I-9 and E-Verify systems, Tracker I-9 was designed with guidance from top-rated immigration attorneys, with decades of experience helping employers comply with federal employment and immigration rules through the use of technology. Whether an employer must E-Verify new hires in select states, workers assigned to an upcoming federal contract, or their entire workforce, Tracker I-9 can deliver a legally compliant solution to meet these fast approaching critical deadlines.

Tracker I-9™ with E-Verify Is Now Available
PRESS RELEASE – San Francisco, CA, USA, August 11, 2008 – ImmigrationTracker™, the maker of immigration management systems used by Fortune 1000 companies, has announced a new release of the Tracker I-9 paperless Form I-9 management software which is now fully integrated with E-Verify. The latest version of Tracker I-9 is now available for existing and new customers to download and install, and offers secure communications with government databases in order to protect sensitive employee information.
By integrating Tracker I-9 with the Federal Government’s E-Verify web services, information about new hires can be instantly submitted to E-Verify securely over the Internet in real-time. E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to ensure their workforce is work eligible.
Many U.S. businesses have been turning to ImmigrationTracker for the most complete, secure and reliable employment and immigration compliance software because of new federal and state laws requiring employers to use E-Verify. The integrated Tracker I-9 system allows employers to process E-Verify cases from the initial verification step to optional referral to SSA or DHS offices, follow-up responses, and onto case resolution.
In addition to its E-Verify features, Tracker I-9 software is used by employers to electronically prepare, sign and store Form I-9 employment eligibility verification forms. All employees in the United States must complete Form I-9 to document that they are authorized to work. Tracker I-9 features include email alerting, audit, and reporting capabilities designed to enhance corporate oversight of workforce compliance and accuracy of employment records. Organizations faced with the task of including E-Verify in their new hire on-boarding process can simplify their work and conduct all tasks from within Tracker I-9 with only one password and user interface to learn. By automatically filling information from the electronic Form I-9 record to open an E-Verify case, duplicate data entry and subsequent errors can be avoided right from the start.
ImmigrationTracker management software used in conjunction with Tracker I-9 also allows HR staff to monitor the work visa application and on-boarding process for foreign nationals and ensures timely document reverification required for work visa employees. Unlike many other Form I-9 systems, Tracker I-9 can be installed on the organization’s internal server to maximize data security. Tracker I-9 can also be hosted remotely at a third-party site (law firm or other designated agent) or through Tracker I-9’s secure hosting facility. ImmigrationTracker, the maker of Tracker I-9, is a Federally Approved E-Verify Designated Agent.

Tracker I-9™ Employment Eligibility Verification Software Certified for E-Verify
PRESS RELEASE – San Francisco, CA, USA, July 23, 2008 – Tracker I-9 paperless Form I-9 management software has been certified to communicate with the Federal Government’s E-Verify employment eligibility verification program using the secure web services access method. The qualification test validates to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Tracker I-9 software is capable of sending compliant encrypted messages to the E-Verify server to perform the initial verification, referral process, and case resolution. Only software that passes the qualification test is allowed to verify employment eligibility of newly-hired employees through the online E-Verify system operated by DHS in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Participation in the E-Verify program is voluntary for most U.S. companies, but recent legislative and executive actions at both federal and state level have mandated its use for a growing number of businesses and other employers.
Tracker I-9 software allows employers to electronically prepare, sign and store Form I-9 employment eligibility verification forms. By integrating Tracker I-9 with the E-Verify web services, new hires can be instantly submitted to E-Verify securely over the Internet in real-time. Tracker I-9 features also include email alerting, audit and reporting capabilities designed to enhance corporate oversight of workforce compliance and accuracy of employment records. Unlike other Form I-9 systems, Tracker I-9 can be installed on the organization’s internal server to maximize data security. Tracker I-9 can also be hosted remotely at a third-party site (law firm or other designated agent) or through Tracker I-9’s secure hosting facility.

Tracker I-9 Compliance Software Will Help Federal Contractors Meet New Requirement to 'E-Verify' Employees' Work Eligibility
PRESS RELEASE – San Francisco, CA, USA, June 12, 2008 – ImmigrationTracker, the maker of immigration management software used by 75% of top-rated immigration law firms and many of the Fortune 1000 companies, has announced that Tracker I-9 (www.TrackerI9.com), its new software system for ensuring Form I-9 compliance, will provide an electronic solution for federal contractors who must now meet the new requirement to 'E-Verify' employees' eligibility to work.
On June 6, 2008, President Bush signed an Executive Order requiring all contractors and others who do business with the federal government to use E-Verify. E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees.
The Executive Order appears to be the first E-Verify rule applied retroactively to existing workers (if they are "assigned" to a federal contract), as opposed to workers going forward from the effective date. Employer groups will be seeking clarity on the scope and intent of this provision.
Tracker I-9 allows employers to electronically prepare, sign and store the I-9 employment eligibility verification form. The system's features also include email alerting, audit and reporting capabilities designed to enhance corporate oversight of workforce compliance and accuracy of employment records. All employees, citizens and noncitizens, hired after November 6, 1986 and working in the United States, must complete a Form I-9 to document that they are authorized to work.
ImmigrationTracker, the maker of Tracker I-9, is a Federally Approved E-Verify Designated Agent. Unlike other I-9 systems, Tracker I-9 software includes automated features to ensure compliance with the reverification and other requirements affecting foreign nationals employed in the U.S. Tracker I-9 is also the only software proven to install in hundreds of locations on the user's internal server, behind the organization's firewall, to maximize data security.
Responding to the signing of the Executive Order on the new employment eligibility verification rules for federal contractors, ImmigrationTracker announced that all Tracker I-9 systems will include features to help U.S. employers meet current and future government mandates for using the E-Verify program.

ImmigrationTracker Launches Tracker I-9, In-House Electronic Form I-9 Compliance Software
San Francisco, CA, USA - May 14, 2008 - ImmigrationTracker, the maker of immigration management software used by 75% of top-rated immigration law firms and many of the Fortune 1000 companies, has announced the release of Tracker I-9 (www.TrackerI9.com), an in-house software system for ensuring Form I-9 compliance across an entire organization. All employees, citizens and noncitizens, hired after November 6, 1986 and working in the United States, must complete a Form I-9 to document that they are authorized to work. Tracker I-9 meets the growing demand from employers for paperless verification of employment eligibility and immigration status under the I-9 rules. Unlike other I-9 systems, Tracker I-9 software is installed on the user's internal server behind the organization's firewall to maximize data security.
Tracker I-9 allows employers to electronically prepare, sign and store the I-9 employment eligibility verification form as authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations. (8 CFR 274a.2) The system’s features also include email alerting, audit and reporting capabilities designed to enhance corporate oversight of workforce compliance and accuracy of employment records.
In releasing the Tracker I-9 enterprise software system, ImmigrationTracker announced that it was also responding to the increased reliance of employers on using the federal E-Verify program. E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees. Some government watchers predict that pending legislative proposals may soon make this largely voluntary program mandatory for employers nationwide. ImmigrationTracker, the maker of Tracker I-9, is a Federally Approved E-Verify Designated Agent.
ImmigrationTracker announced the release of Tracker I-9 as Form I-9 compliance has reached a critical stage with stepped up DHS investigations and fining of employers that do not follow the rules for verifying employment eligibility. The changing employment laws and regulations have made it difficult for hiring managers to complete this form on-time, with accuracy, and without discriminating against potential hires. Many employers using the error-prone paper version of the Form I-9 find it nearly impossible to track expiration dates or locate forms across multiple worksites.
By using an electronic system with centralized control of all I-9 records, corporate executives and human resources (HR) professionals can perform internal audits from their desktops and be alerted to issues before they become compliance problems. Tracker I-9 also offers proactive verification of social security numbers against government databases.
Keeping the Tracker I-9 database on a server at the user's own office or facility gives the user full control over storage of and access to its sensitive information. ImmigrationTracker was one of the early developers of the office-hosted or "on-premise" immigration management model and today leads the industry in providing such systems. ImmigrationTracker products are relied on by major immigration law firms and corporations, in part because they satisfy their very high security expectations.
ImmigrationTracker management software used in conjunction with Tracker I-9 also allows HR staff to monitor the work visa application and on-boarding process for foreign nationals and ensures timely document reverification required for I-9 compliance for work visa employees. By following the official guidelines and choosing Tracker I-9 as the Form I-9 management system, organizations can reduce the number of "no match letters" and provide government auditors with an electronic trail of their compliance with just a few clicks.
